Gemini's selection of D38999 Series 4 Connectors provide a rugged, fool-proof, quick disconnecto operation in a miniature electrical connector. The locking mechanism distributes the coupling load over solid metal lands, while internal drive threads provide the mechanical advantage required to engage contacts and interfacial seals.
These connectors can not be coupled or partially coupled untile key alignment has been achieved. The keys drop into a positive "feel" before coupling can begin. (0 degree coupling ring rotation brings the plug into full-mating position. Three full-mate indicators are provided.

MIL-SPEC Circular Connectors
The threaded coupling, environmentally sealed MIL-DTL-5015 Series III connector with rear-removable crimp contacts was developed to replace the earlier solder type. This redesigned connector is intermateable and intermountable with the MIL-DTL-5015 Series I solder type (MS310*) as well as the MIL-DTL- 83723 Series II (USAF) crimp type and MIL-DTL-5015 Series II Front Release (MS340*). Thus, it provides for a minimum effort and high economy upgrade for existing applications.

For circuts with a small number of crossovers, a jumper chip can be more economical than printing a dielectric layer and crossover conductor or using a thru-hole. Thick film jumpers are available in five sizes, all with wraparound terminations and glass passivation on a portion of the top surface. The CP chip type has platinum/silver terminations for conductive epoxy bonding, and the CPX type has pretinned nickle barrier terminations for solder applications .. MIL-PRF-55342 is the defacto standard for high reliability chip resistors. These chip resistors are used in a variety of mission critical applications such as avionics, satellites, biomedical, communications, and of course weapons systems. Each resistor receives power conditioning (burn-in) for 100 hours as part of the Group A test. In addition, each manufacturing lot receives a Group B test (Inspection lot formation is not allowed for T level). SOTA manufactures all T level product by up-screening R or S level resistors, an additional step to further enhance the reliability of the T level product.
